Among seven innovative ideas from different municipalities in the Aveiro Region, our young participants proved that the future starts here.

The 2025 Intermunicipal Schools Entrepreneurship Competition, promoted by the Intermunicipal Community of the Aveiro Region (CIRA), was held at the Wine Museum in Anadia.

As part of the IERA – Business Incubator of the Aveiro Region, this competition aims to foster entrepreneurship and innovation among school-age youth.

Six business ideas were presented from the municipalities of: Albergaria-a-Velha, Aveiro, Estarreja, Ovar, Oliveira do Bairro, Sever do Vouga, and Vagos.

The jury — composed of representatives from IPDJ, AIDA CCI, University of Aveiro (UA), CIRA, and InCycle— awarded the top three projects:

• 1st Place: SOSEnergy (Aveiro)
• 2nd Place: SmartGuide Assistive Kit (Sever do Vouga)
• 3rd Place: Give To Receive (Oliveira do Bairro)

The SOSEnergy team from Aveiro will represent the Aveiro Region in the Regional Schools Business Ideas Competition, organized by CCDRC, to be held on June 11 in Coimbra.

This edition of the Intermunicipal Competition of the Aveiro Region also featured a special contribution from Ana Teles, representing Psientífica, who shared with all participants the work being done in the field of Social Innovation aimed at younger audiences.
