Lança o Teu Futuro entered its tenth edition yesterday with the launch of its mentoring programme. The first session took place at the Agrupamento de Escolas de Sever do Vouga and focused on Artificial Intelligence, guided by mentor Luis Gustavo. The room was filled with attentive and motivated young people, and the atmosphere was one of genuine engagement, the kind that comes when students sense that what they are learning reaches well beyond the classroom.

Councillor Paula Coutinho attended the opening session, underlining the significance of this initiative for the municipality. Lança o Teu Futuro is a direct investment by the Municipality of Sever do Vouga in its young people, with the aim of equipping them with real entrepreneurship skills. The goal is not simply to prepare projects for a competition, but to develop individuals capable of identifying opportunities, building solutions and presenting them with confidence.

Andreia Fonseca, Project Manager at VougaPark, introduced the students to the competition format, the modules that make up the programme and the purpose of an initiative that this year marks its tenth anniversary. Over a decade, Lança o Teu Futuro has turned dozens of ideas into projects with real impact, and the 2026 commemorative edition aims to live up to that legacy.

Upcoming training schedule

The sessions continue in the coming weeks, with five more modules still to take place. The programme is split between two partner schools, each with its own adapted calendar.

All sessions are delivered by specialists in each field and form part of a programme designed to give participants every tool they need to present a solid project at the Pitch Final.

The Pitch Final of the tenth edition of Lanca o Teu Futuro is scheduled for 27 May 2026 at the Centro das Artes e do Espetaculo in Sever do Vouga. Admission is free and the community is invited to attend and support the young entrepreneurs of the municipality. The winning team will go on to represent Sever do Vouga at the intermunicipal entrepreneurship competition of the Aveiro Region.
